Jewelry Care Instructions

Breastmilk jewelry is very delicate and, as with any fine jewelry, proper care and handling are essential and contribute to the durability of your jewelry. 

Do not use jewelry cleaners. To clean your items please only use a soft, dry polishing cloth. This will remove any tarnishing and keep your items looking new. 

Do not expose to excess moisture. Do not wear in the shower, while working out, while swimming or doing dishes. Limit UV exposure; do not wear at the tanning salon, under UV lamps at the nail salon, or leave your jewelry out in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time. Avoid exposing your jewelry to harsh chemicals such as hand sanitizer, cleaning products and hairspray. Always remove your jewelry before applying oils, lotions and creams. We recommend removing all jewelry before going to bed. Wearing any jewelry 24/7 is not recommended as it may cause pieces to show signs of advanced wear. Each order comes in a box, which is the perfect place to store your jewelry when it is not being worn. 

Your breastmilk will be preserved in a tried and tested formula and your keepsake jewelry is built to last, however, there is a possibility of change in appearance over time. Your jewelry is made with resin and all resin is prone to discolouration over time. Rose gold and gold plating can wear off and sterling silver can tarnish over time. If these care instructions are followed it will help improve the longevity of your piece for years to come.
